The African Ashanti Tribe stated that The ‘’God of Death’’ is known as ‘’Owuo’’. Often personified in Tribal Art as a simple ‘’Ladder’’, this is meant to convey that Owuo provides ‘’descent’’ into The Underworld for The Dead (Souls). In other versions, He is shown as a ‘’Gorilla Beast’’ with ‘’Sharps Tusks and long, stringy hair’’. This was seen as a means of ‘’scaring One’’ into proper ‘’respect’’. Not really feared, His Cult images (both) were and are still venerated by The Ashanti.
