Otherkin

In a term dating to 1990, ''Otherkin'' is a Modern concept – by which some Humans ''feel'' that they are NOT Human. These Persons identify with often ''mythical'' Creatures, such as Elves, Fairies or some ''enchanted'' Animal species. Their belief is so intense, that some seek to have themselves ''surgically altered'' so that they ''resemble'' that particular ''Being''. These beliefs can come from psychological issues (real or imagined). Some Researchers also find that Otherkin Beliefs may have been the root cause for many Medieval (and prior) beliefs in ''Changelings'' and other forms of Mythological Animals.
