A Japanese invention, The Ormamori is a specially blessed Talisman given away at Shinto Buddhist Shrines in Japan. They are made of silk and cloth and come in a variety of colors and designs. They are specially blessed by Shinto Priests for a number of protections. One does not have to be a follower of The Shinto Belief System to wear one. Worn or carried on the body in various fashions, The Ormamori are designed to protect one's safety in travel through various means (Foot, Car, Ship, Airplane etc.) Some Ormamori were blessed to protect one's marriage or Spouse. The Ormamori are also given as a badge of entrance for non-ordained Shinto followers. These versions are normally kept (when not in use), in miniature Shrines in the House of the Owner. Specially design and blessed Ormamori can be made for specialized needs. These can be for illness or for channeling specific prayers of healing.
