Orlang Bati

 These strange flying primates are said to live in the deep jungles and forests of The Island of Seram (Indonesia). Local Natives claim that they resemble huge Orangutans with Wings. They are 6 feet tall with Orange fur. Their wings resemble those of a common Bat (but with a 8 foot wingspan). They are known to steal small unattended children and attack and take small animals (making them flesh eating Primates ). Spanish Missionaries from the 15th Century documented an attack by The Orlang Bati on a local Village (prompting requests for Military assistance). The Spanish Government never sent Troops.
