Orgone

 A term dating to the 1930s – ''Orgone'' was a ''theory'' was by some accounts – related to errant ''energies'' which are present everywhere. Not only ''of The Earth'', but of ''The Universe''. Man is energy as well, and it was proposed – that ''He'' too, could tap into this stray matter and absorb it. Renewed, Man (if sick), could be cured by such emissions – or gain ''insight'' (preternatural wisdom). As such, Orgone was proposed to be taken and funneled by means of an ''Orgone Chamber''. These free standing boxes were made of various exotic woods and fashioned with lead or metal alloy sheeting inside (completely). A common chair was placed inside, with the person seated for a period of time. Errant energies would then pass thru and into the person. Various experiments were conducted in the 1930s and 1940s, with rather dubious results. Seen as ''psuedo-science'' and Fringe, The Orgone Theory did not last past 1942.
