Ookempan

The almost "human" looking Ookempan were said to at one time lived in Chile and Argentina. They were Turtle-like Beings with a massive shell on their back. They could walk on on four of their legs (but most often only on two). They were said to devour lost or unattended children who wandered into The Jungle. Not all Ookempan's would eat children. Some took them and cared for them into Adulthood. Then they would mate with them to maintain their bloodlines.
