Of Sumerian Origins, ‘’Ningishzida’’ was translated to mean ‘’Lord of The Tree’’. Many Scholars and Folklorists assign this to mean He was a Deity tasked with the protection of Vegetation of all sorts. Ningishzida ‘’came’’ from The Underworld, tasked by His God-Father ‘’Ninazu’’ to ‘’care for The Earth’’. Like many Ancient Sumerian Deities, He is symbolized as being Human (Royalty), surrounded by Serpents (Snakes).
