Night Gaunt

A component of HP Lovecraft's 1927 Story ''The Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath'' – ''Night Gaunts'' are ''Dark Demons'' which serve several ''Great Old Ones'', in particular, Azathoth. Portrayed in the Story as ''Flying Demons'' which bear resemblance to a combination of ''Human and Bat'', They serve as ''Guards'' and ''Protectors'' to ''The Dark Guards''. Their claws are razor sharp and they are known to descend upon Enemies and ''rip them to shreds'', leaving their mutilated corpses to rot as ''a Warning''.
