''Nian''

 From China, The Nian was a beast of mythology. It lived both in the Sea and under most mountains. Akin to The Greek Titans, Nian had an appetite for people, and when hungry could devour whole Villages. He was a Hybrid creature that was part Lion and Dragon (and even reputed to have Armor plating). Said to have devoured all animal life in China (save a few Humans) it was said that Nian hated the color Red. Survivors began to wear only Red (and painted or otherwise covered everything else in that color). This so angered (and scared Nian), that he fled underground never to be seen again.
