According to Ancient Greek Mythology – The ''Nereids'' were a total of 50 Female Demi-Goddesses, related to The Sea Nymph. They were the Daughters of two Oceanid (Race) Deities. They resembled Humans, and in Art were not portrayed as Mermaids (half-Human, half-Fish). They looked very much as Human Females. Very helpful to Sailors at Sea if they were lost – they were first recorded in literature as assisting The Hero Jason – tasked with recovering the mythical ''Golden Fleece''.
