According to The American Southwest Hopi Indians, ‘’Muyingwa’’ was a ‘’Kachina Goddess’’ – responsible for the ‘’spreading of Seeds’’ (Germination). This was important for making The Earth a ‘’Garden’’ to The Hopi, from which all manner of foods could be harvested. In the Spring Months, many weeks worth of Ceremonies were held, often lasting hours to perform – daily. Dancers wore wooden Masks to represent Muyingwa, often brightly painted. Her Icon figurine was often kept in Homes until the final harvest in October.
