Roughly translated to "Death Brand", this was the legendary weapon of Ganelon (Roland The Knight's arch rival). As told in "The Song of Roland", Ganelon was a traitorous Frankish Count (who turned on Charlemagne). According to legend, it held a Holy Relic - embedded into it's roundel/pommel. This gave Murgley the ability to strike "faster". A basic Straight Sword, Murgley was around 40-45 inches long and was double-edged. It's hilt was said to be highly embellished. What happened to the "real" Murgley (if it existed) - is unknown.
