An ancient tale from Ulster, England - The Muirdrius (which meant "Horror"), were a distant relative of The Leprechaun. They lived in water, and for all purposes - resembled a giant "Heart". The Muirdrius wad covered in thorny stingers, from which (if touched), produced powerful (and deadly) poisons. Several legends tell that they were so hideous to behold, that the unfortunate gazer's mouth would "freeze" into a sardonic "smile". Only a "mirrored image" allowed one to "gaze" at them. The mortally enemies of The Muirdrius were a Fairy Race of Sprite, called The Fergus. It was said almost all Muirdrius were killed off in an epic battle with them. Those that survived, escaped to The Ocean - where they evolved into Jellyfish.
