Mount Shasta

 Mount Shasta, located in Northern California (US), is well known as a location for both remarkable geological features and thousands of years worth of Legends regarded just about ‘’every’’ kind. Seen by the local Kalmath Native American Tribe as sacred, their initial Tribal Legends state that their ‘’First Chief’’ fought a ‘’battle with The Mountain Demon’’ – Eons ago. The ‘’battle’’ is often commemorated by the often ‘’strange glow’’ seen regularly when the rising Sun’s early light reacts to the rock on it’s peak (made more so by the presence of snow). But this quaint Legend also contains many other layers of Mythos.

Another, is that Shasta was actually part of the Legendary Lemuria (a lost Pacific Ocean Continental Society similar to Atlantis in The Atlantic). Some cite that it was an Ancient Outpost of that long ago destroyed ‘’Culture’’. The Lemurians ‘’left’’ many articles of ancient ‘’technological wonders’’ buried deep into the Mountain (Caverns). In fact, The US Government discovered these ‘’treasures’’ long ago and even built a ‘’secret Base’’ to protect and experiment on every ‘’rumor’’ of ‘’exotic propulsion engines to actual Craft’’ (leading to the assumption that The ‘’Lemurians’’ were in fact – part of an Alien Colony).  It is even said ‘’They’’ still visit Mt. Shasta (as part of a covert Government ‘’aware’’ {Program). But The US Government states that because Shasta is considered an ‘’active’’ (dormant) volcano, close to 1 Million Years in age – that the many Geological Stations there are to study this and nothing more.

In The Paranormal ‘’vein’’ – Shasta is well known for the many Ghost Stories it harbors. From hauntings relating to tragic 19th Century Settlers ‘’lost’’ or killed (massacred) by Tribes to the several unsolved murders, are common ‘’tales’’. Adding to this, Shasta has more than it’s share of sightings concerning the mythical Cryptid Hominoid known as ‘’Bigfoot’’ and other ‘’strange creatures. ‘’New Agers’’ often flock to Shasta (to include Wiccan and other Folk Magic believers), come to Shasta yearly to stage their ceremonies and rituals. In short, ‘’something’’ unusual is well acknowledged to be ‘’happening’’ on Mount Shasta….’’All The Time’’….. it seems!
