As We have seen previously, the tragedy that was The Sinking of The British Royal Mail Ship – ‘’Titanic’’ was one of the worst in Maritime History. 1,500 Souls perished on April 15, 1912 in The North Atlantic. ‘’Lost’’ below 2.5 Miles of Ocean, She was finally discovered in 1985. Since, ‘’Titanic’’ has been the center of even more controversy than ‘’why’’ She sank. Most Historians view ‘’Titanic’’ as a Maritime Graveyard, a kind of final resting place for hundred upon hundred of Passengers and Crew who were never recovered. But, Her historical value outweighed good sense with MANY Private Organizations funding Millions of USDs to not only develop deep water technology to examine The Ship, but begin the removal of many hundreds of pieces of artifacts. From pieces of The Ship itself to personal items found – in short, if it ‘’wasn’t nailed down too hard, it was taken’’.

Many ‘’On-Line’’ auctions Worldwide began to sell such items. The ethics of sch are still questioned. But a few Companies, such as ‘’RMS Titanic, Inc.’’ furthered the preservation of removed items for display. The Company restored hundreds of items, to include a massive piece of The Ships very Hull plating. To further their idea, ‘’Traveling Museums’’ developed. Each of these would moved from City to City and Country to Country. Patrons could pay a ticket fee and gave upon an often immersive ‘’Titanic’’ Experience. Most enjoyed them – that is until the many rumors began to come to light.

From several Museums in The United States come stories which prove that beyond, the very artifacts are generating a Paranormal experience as well. With the elaborate displays, were placed authentic pieces, restored and preserved. In an Atlanta, Georgia Museum – a full ‘’Grand Staircase’’ was built. Rivaling the original (long since decayed underwater), many a staff Member and Guest reported VERY strange happenings. Reports of a strange ‘’Woman in Black Period Dress’’ would be seen at the top of the Staircase. No public is allowed on the display, so when people would ‘’call attention’’ to the event, Staff would come and find Her vanished from sight. One Guest, thinking she was ‘’part of the prop’’ even ‘’called out to Her’’. The ‘’Woman’’ turned and ‘’looked down’’, only to vanish seconds later.

CCTV Footage will also show strange and shadowy ‘’figures’’ moving not only up and down The Staircase, but move thru Display Cases, especially those holding Shoes. Shoes, you see – hold a very unique space in ‘’Titanic’’ Paranormal lore. It is widely accepted by Scholars, that most of the unrecovered bodies of victims would sink down into the depths, coming to rest on The Sea floor. In very quick time, nature would consume them. But the tannic acids use to preserve leather decomposes very slowly (and can take Centuries in some unique instances). Due to the depth, lack of oxygen and Sea Life not interested in consuming them – most Shoes are very well preserved on their own as a result. When most ‘’pairs’’ are discovered, they also appear to beat what would be known as very ‘’natural angles’’. This was explained as showing that they remained just exactly WHERE their former ‘’Owners’’ laid in the sand. In short, all that is left is Their…Shoes.

As such, many Experts in The Paranormal cite something so personal as a Shoe is indeed a conduit for ‘’Lost’’ or ‘’Confused’’ Spirits. Freed from Their ‘’Final Resting Place’’, it make sense that they would ‘’appear’’ in The Museum. Forks, Plates, Cups, even jewelry ALL would an could serve as a type of ‘’magnet’’ for such Spirits. And while most Museums are stationary for 3 to 6-months until they move to the next scheduled City, MOST refuse to renew for another showing….One Wonders Why?
