''Moonbase Luna?''

This 40 year old Case is possibly on the most ''unusual and controversial'' stories that involve UFOs, Aliens and of course - Government cover-ups. Nicknamed ''Moonbase Luna'' -  NASA to identify a possible Extraterrestrial Base established in Earth's only natural satellite -The Moon, there are two definately divided "camps". Skeptics and Believers. Which one YOU are rests with the following story.

In the 1950s, The World was amazed (and horrified), when Soviet Russia launched the first man-made satellite, "Sputnik" into "low Earth" orbit. Later, a daring Soviet Cosmonaut - Yuri Gagarren, became the first human to successfully orbit the Planet. A then recently formed American organization - NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration), was summoned by US President John F. Kennedy. He not only wanted The United States to do the same, but wanted a manned mission to The Moon, by the end of the decade (1960s). Work backed by Millions of USD would yield The Apollo Space Program. Consisting of 12 separate missions in Space (Earth and Lunar orbits as well as 6 manned landings of The Moon), Kennedy's dream was realized in July of 1969. American Astronaut Neil Armstrong became the first human to set foot on The Moon. 5 successful additional missions would follow. Then in 1972, Apollo Landings 18, 19 and 20 were abruptly cancelled. No adequate explanation was really given - other than "we had gotten the information we needed to know". That is, until the "truth" started to "unravel" - starting in 1979.

Astronauts are often VERY highly regarded people in Society. They are highly trained persons who, if they are NOT extremely experienced Military Pilots of high performance Fighter Planes and Test Aircraft, are well recognized Scientists in their fields. They are trained observers and often above reproach. This is why at a 1979 NASA Symposium in New York City, when former Astronaut Neil Armstrong was approached by an Academic, and asked the "real" reason NASA stopped The Moon Program, he told him that "We" (NASA) were "told" by Extraterrestrial Life, to "stay away from The Moon". Normally, an average person would be laughed at. This was seen as a "revelation" coming from Armstrong. Neil was a very vocal believer in Extraterrestrials and UFOS (probably even made more so by his well known, outspoken nature. Armstrong went on to relate that "there were things on The Moon that would answer many of Man's questions". Neil wasn't alone in his "opinions". Most of the surviving 32 Apollo Astronauts had seen, photographed or had first hand knowledge of UFOS and or "Alien" life.

Which brings us to the so called "Luna Document", a 1983 supposedly leaked Top Secret report that stated that with the 6th and final Apollo landing, Alien Life "contacted" NASA and old them that THEY had "established" a Base on The Moon for "Mining" and had done so for thousands of years. Man was "warned" to stay away. So we did. Of course, the "document" was declared a hoax. Then in 2001-2002, came the "pictures".  A series of 12, high-definition Black & White with a few color photographs were released from an anonymous source to World Press Agencies and of course, The Internet. The photos reportedly show American Astronauts not only discovering ruins of ancient cities, but enormous machines - all of non-human origins. Some photos show strange Alien Spacecraft as well. Taken on different Apollo Missions, the photos are printed on time and date stamped, Government photography paper, clearly identified as "Property of NASA".

It is said that "Luna" remains on the "Dark Side" of The Moon, so signals and visual "mistakes" will not be made. Most of the earlier Alien structures has been buried by Lunar dust. The "City" as it is is protected by a biosphere (dome). Astronaut Jim Lovell reputedly "saw" it when his ill-fated Apollo 13 had to use The Moon in a "gravity shot" for the crippled spaceship to be able to reach Earth. His "sighting" was "chalked up" to a carbon monoxide induced hallucination. No known photos exist of "Luna", but there are several Artist renderings base on what Lovell reputedly "saw".

Fake, fake and more fake - was NASAs response. Not even worthy of mention. However, several weeks after their "release", NASA began actively searching for the person who stole the "fake" photos (they were after all, on 40 year old NASA owned Photograph paper. Why file a Federal legal injunction for fake photos Within a month, the Case just slowly died away...for now. Is it possible The World was fooled Sure. Could the photos and testimonies be false as well Quite possibly. But let us leave on this fact. The Peoples Republic of China has made it WELL KNOWN that they are going to The Moon. Hopefully within the next 5 years. 

While the above Story was published roughly 4 years ago, MUCH has developed. As of mid-2022, NASA has unveiled a 80 Billion USD Project called ''Artemis''. The ultimate goal of The Program is to finally return to The Moon. Further, once some form of normalcy in Space Travel is established - and even perhaps permanent enclosures, The Moon will serve as ''launching Point'' for Earth's next ''conquest'......Mars. But oddly, both attempts to launch what is billed as the ''the largest free standing Rocket in Human History'', have failed. ''Technical Error'' being cited, The World will continue to wait and see what happens...or DOSEN'T.
