A ''Nature Deity'' from The Slavic Regions, ''Mokosh'' was another Feminine ''Protective Forest'' Figure – invoked by Pagan Women for a variety of needs. Her primary attribute though was to protect Spinners of wool and Shepherds of Sheep. Her ''Shrine/Icons'' were placed deep within a Forest. Adopted into The ''Virgin Mary'' Cult after the establishment of Christianity, some Folk Cultures still worshiped Mokosh as late as the 19th Century AD.
