This 250 year old Monster Story involves local African Tribesmen (The Lingala), claiming that a saurian creature exists in the deep jungles and in hidden valleys of Africa. Described in their language as He Who Stops Rivers due to the extreme size of this creature the stories had created interest by many European Expeditions trying to prove the existence of Modern Dinosaurs . This theory has served as fodder for MANY 19th and early 20th Century writers of fiction (Edgar Rice Burroughs The Lost World , being the most cited). No less than 60 Expeditions from every major Country has been attempted venturing into The Dark Continent in search of Mokele Mbebe. No doubt some species of Sauropod (that somehow has maintained it's species evolutionary integrity), it has been described as being 300 tons and about 2 to 3 stories tall. The curious evidence that spurred such interest A footprint that was identified as being only several hundred years old! The last attempted expedition was in 2012 (but it financially failed).
