Mictlantecuti

 This was The Aztec Lord of The Dead. The Aztec of Meso-America believed that one's soul needed to make a dangerous journey to Mictlan (his realm). It was a peaceful and silent World in which to spend eternity. However, ones's soul needed to go through 8 dark forests (filled with creatures), 8 more deserts, 8 high mountains and FINALLY, a fast-flowing river! Mictlantecuti was depicted with a Skull face (or head), and a conical Hat (symbol of Aztec Royalty).
