Relating to The Philippine Culture and Mythologies (Southern Pacific), ‘’Mayari’’ was a Lunar Goddess who was ‘’Queen of The Night’’. Beautiful in description, Mayari regulated either ‘’peace or worry’’ – depending on Her proper veneration by Her Cults. IF She felt She was not duly honored, The Moon would ‘’grow dark’’ or simply NOT shine in the Night Sky (both of which were seen as ‘’Bad Omens’’. Properly worshiped, Mayari gave ample light at Night, which served for Hunters and for protection from Enemies.
