Also known as The ‘’Girdle of St. Thomas’’ ‘’Mary’s Girdle’’ was reputedly ‘’dropped to Earth’’ and into the hand of Saint Thomas, who was requesting intercession from The Virgin Mary (Mother of Christ), assumed into Heaven at Her death  (‘’Body and Soul’’), Her ‘’image’’ has been reported by many throughout the generations, with some fortunate ones even ‘’seeing a physical phenomenon’’. By way of explanation – a ‘’Girdle’’ was a type of rope or cloth (braided) – used as a belt to cinch up loose flowing clothing. Venerated as a ‘’miracle’’, The Girdle is said to protect pregnant women and give ‘’calm to sufferers of all aliments’’. The Girdle is currently under control of the Eastern Orthodox Church, Yekaterinburg, Ural, Russia.
