Rumored to live (or have), in The Amazon River Basin, The Mapinguary is a giant, Sloth-like creature. Said to be 7 feet tall and covered in thick hair, it walks upright. It's arms are unusually long, and it hasd long sharp claws at the ends of it's hands. It's Legs and Feet are ''turned backwards'' as well. The Mapinguary is also said to have a second mouth set into the outside of the creatures stomach! The creature emits a strong odor (stench). Often, large swarms of flies accompany The Mapinguary (which is a sign that it is near). The only way to kill one is a direct shot to the head (or separating the creatures head from his body). They hunt all kinds of animals (deep within the Forest) and are especially fond of human flesh! Tracks were last reported in 1937.
