Manticore

 Ancient Persian (with hints of Egypt as well), The Manticore is another hybrid creature. Described as the body of a Lion, it was said to have huge Bat-like wings and a tail from a Scorpion. Some versions give The Manticore horns (and in even some case no wings). The Manticore (in addition to it's razor sharp claws and fang, has (as stated) the tail of a Scorpion. It is capable of launching deadly poisonous spines into it's prey. The Manticore will devour all of its prey leaving no trace of it behind.
