 Another Philippine Vampire-Spirit (capable of separating itself into two pieces), The Manananggal is a deceased person so cursed at death. Needing to drink human blood (as well as eating human flesh), these creatures only live in the deep jungles. Coming out at night, they prey throughout the local Villages near their homes . They are capable of flight via huge, bat-like wings. Certain spices are known to keep The Manananggal at bay. They can be killed with a silver dagger.
