''Mamu''

A mythical and ancient Race of Demons, The Mamu were said to have lived in The Great Dandy Desert of Australia. Aboriginal Tribes there said that they were Shapes hitters who could assume any form - including those of inanimate Objects (rocks, trees, etc). The Aborigines even painted The Mamu on several of their well known cave pictographs. Said to have a hideous appearance, The Mamu were tall with long pointed heads (some possibly with spike extensions). They also had sharp long fangs and large white eyes. The Mamu carried large clubs with them to batter their prey senseless. They would drag their victims off onto their caves and devour them. Mamu's were not very smart, however. They could be tricked and confused easily - just long enough to escape. It is unclear just what happened to them. Many claim they still exist in the deeper regions of The Australian Outback.
