Malakas & Maganda

According to Philippine Creation Mythos – ''Malakas and Maganda'', were The ''First Man and Woman''. They were created when The Deity ''Amihan'' looked upon The World and saw a gigantic Bamboo Tree. He sent an enchanted Bird to ''peck away'' at The Bamboo. Splitting it in two, One portion became Malakas and the other Maganda. Amihan further bestowed ''Peace'' upon both.
