A powerful Haitian Loa (Spirit) in Voodoo Magic – ''Maitresse Hounon'gon'' is The Patron of Chants and Fire (as is used in various Folk magic Ceremonies). ''He'' must be invoked as a ''bridge'' Deity in order for One to ''speak to'' (commune) with other Loa and Ghede. Both animal blood, sugar and Rum is used to appease Him prior to any invocation.
