In Haitian Folk Magic, The Linto was a Loa (Spirit) which was personified by a young infant. As such, He is a playful and mischievous Entity which ''rides'' (possesses) a Person. This ''manifestation'' makes One ''act'' in an overtly wild manner (uncontrolled). Whist ''possessed'', Linto causes One to walk ''as a Baby'' (unsteadily) and uncontrollable cry. Linto means no harm to those He overtakes, and His ''gift'' is to instill a ''childlike curiosity'' and being open to all things.
