Medieval Bestiary told of all sorts of strange and wondrous creatures. The Leontophone was one of them. These beast were known as Lion Killers . Smaller that a Lion, these resembled the Cat a great deal. Noted for having a sleek and spotted hide, The Leontophone' mane was made of spike-like protrusions. It also featured a long tail. The flesh of the Leontophone is immediately poisonous to a Lion. Biting one will bring instant death to it. Unusually, the attack does not kill The Leontophone. A Village that had a pet Leontophone was considered very lucky.
