In Ancient Egyptian Culture (1,350 BC) – a Lector Priest was a specialized Religious who was responsible for reciting various prayers and conducting rituals (ceremonies), associated with Funerary Rites. Trained from an early age (13 years), Lectors were only Male. Further, they were allowed to ''earn'' monies by ''hiring out'' their services to non-Royals (Commoners). As such, Lector Priests were also seen as a form of ''Healer'', in that their Prayers could appease The Gods during times of illness and related.
