From Ancient Persia and related Middle Eastern cultures, The Lamassu was half-Human, Bull and Eagle. Seen as a protective Guardian of Ancient Persia, they were depicted quite frequently in art. Also called The Horned Bull , they were very smart and strong (a combination of both species). Their wings (Eagle) was seen as symbolizing a King's power. The Lamassu was known to fight evil and chaos. They are first seen around the 7th Century B.C.
