The ''Laestrygonians'' were (according to Ancient Greek Myths) – a Race of Giants, said to live on The Island of Sicily. These Giants were ''10-feet Tall'' and War-like. They were also cannibalistic and were known to consume their captives. They commonly attacked Ships passing by their Island by throwing boulders at them, sinking them. When survivors swan to The Islands....Well then ''lunch''. Although The Laestrygonians had metal working knowledge, they knew nothing of how to build Ships. It is said that Sicily was all but avoided for centuries, thus ''starving out'' The Giants.
