''Lady Bertilak'' was associated with The Arthurian Legend by the 14th Century AD Poem known as ''Sir Gawain and The Green Knight''. It's Authorship is unknown. She is linked to The Green Knight as a probable ''Phantasam'' or work of Magic (personified in Human guise). As we have seen with both The Legend of Sir Gawain and that of The Green Knight (in previous Articles) – The Green Knight used The ''Lady Bertilak'' (imprisoned within His Castle), to pose various question to Sir Gawain (to both weaken his resolve and attack His Chivalry). Gawain is able to maintain His Honor and behead The Green Knight – with Lady Bertilak vanishing.
