In Haitian Folk Magic, The Loas known as ''La Siren & Whale'', are seen as Sea Gods. They are often portrayed as two separate Entities, but regularly as a young and beautiful Female. When invoked for possession, La Siren gives the attributes of often self-absorbed beauty. She is viewed as an Upper Class Goddess, and has no time to spent on Commoners. Some Scholars assign La Siren & Whale as an Icon requested by French Colonial Planters.
