La Diablesse

 From Trinadad and Tobago (in The Caribbean), La Diablesse is often seen as an older woman (sometimes even as a Hag). She wears long dresses to hid her cloven hoofs. She also likes to change into a beautiful woman (to lure foolish men to their death). When La Diablesse is near, one will smell fragrant perfume (with some variations of the myth stating that bells or rattling chains are heard as well). She will show up at local dances to lure her prey as well. An honest woman can always sense when La Diablesse in in the room . It is said that if you wear your clothes inside out, La Diablesse will not harm you.
