From Albania, The ''Kukudh'' was said to be the ''physical spirit'' of a deceased ''Miser'' who - while in life, neither cared nor fostered the poor or friendships. In death, The Kududh could assume the form of an Owl or similar ''night fowl''. As such, seeing or even hearing one at the dark of night was a precursor for ''bad omens'' and even death. It was also assigned in legend, The Kududh had ''vampiric abilities'' - more akin to the class of psychic vampire, ''draining the life force'' of living relatives. The Kukudh would also assume the guise of ''and old man'', often luring young men (His favorite), to their doom, by promising some great fortune for ''helping him''. A victim could however, defeat The Kukudh, by performing the require task or help, and NOT (refusing) and reward.
