A ''Krater'' was a type of Grecian Vase, made of fired Ceramic. They Painted with various scenes depicting either The Gods, Religious Ceremonies, Heroic imagery and finally Funeral Processions .Kraters were traditionally quite large and were used to hold several gallons of Wine. This was then used to allow Persons to ''dip'' a smaller cup, to drink. A part of ''normal' Greek Life, The Krater was important enough to merit being ''taken with'' The Spirit of a deceased person as well. Empty Kraters, filled with ''Spiritual Drink'' were commonly buried with persons of note, to allow them ''refreshment'' in The Afterlife.
