  Said to be Native to Egypt, these Crypto-insects were also called "Head Strikers". They are half the size of a typical human finger. Said to be Winged and resembling a Moth, The Krankoklaptes had a long stinger-like protrusion on their head. Targeting the head or neck of their victim, one bite was fatal. It was said The Krakoklaptes bite could only be treated by taking one of the insects bodies and putting it in a vial of olive oil. As the body decomposes, it mixes with the oil to create a concoction used as an antidote. It is drunk. One only had hours to administer the remedy. It was said that they existed mostly in The Upper Nile Delta in the 18th Century.
