Many Countries which have Ore producing economies (such as Mines), have stories of helpful (and not so) - "Spirits" and such. One such legend comes from The Cornish Tin Mines. Known as "Knockers" due to their habit of banging on Mine walls, they are entities that show the Miners "where" to dig. Seldom seen - they have been described as 3 to 4 feet tall and pale (or White). They wear Miners clothing and carry either pick axe or hammer. Miners disrespectful or unthankful of their "help", may cause cave-in's or other calamities to befall them.
