Said to have been an early Warlord in Wales, ‘’King Rience’’ resisted Arthur’s claim to being the ‘’True King’’ of Britain. Found in Mallory’s ‘’Le Morte’’, King Rience was noted for the infamous habit of taking His slain Enemies and shoring their beards. He then used the hair for trim on His Robes. He swore to add Arthur’s mane to His cloak, but Arthur slew Him in battle and took over His Kingdom – adding it to what would later be part of Camelot.
