A Classic Movie Monster from 1933, King Kong was a 200-foot, several hundred tons Great Ape. Discovered by a 1930s Film crew on the mysterious and uncharted Skull Island, the Actress of the group (a beautiful blond haired woman), is captured by the primitive Natives and soon offered as a sacrifice to their God (Kong). Kong falls in love with his meal instead! The Film Crew is able to free the Actress (and using Gas Bombs) capture the massive beast. Taken back to New York City and put on display as The 8th Wonder of The World , Kong escapes. Recapturing his love , Kong climbs The Empire State Building for safety. Attacked by multiple Bi-planes of The Army Air Corps, a mortally wounded Kong places down his prize , and falls to his death hundreds of feet below). A successful franchise (another film Son of Kong ) - as well as several non related Great Ape films made King Kong was remade in color in 2002 and was very successful.
