An old Maltese Myth, The Kaw Kaw were large humanoid Creatures said to inhabit the many caves located near the shores of the Island Nation. The had long gray hair and were said to be slimy to the touch. It was said that they roamed the streets of many Towns and Villages, in search of boys who misbehaved or did not mind their Parents. They were known to snatch them up and take them back to their cave as a meal! The Kaw Kaw made chirping noises, causing boys to run when they heard their distinctive cry .
