Karzelek

 From Poland, comes the tales of of The Karzelek. Dwarfish creatures, they live in Mines. They guard gems and lead back lost Miners. They are also known to lead Miners to where gems can be found. Throwing rocks at them or whistling is an offense punishable by The Karzelek with a cave in. Prior to their attack - The Karzelek will throw handfuls of dirt at you. They also sense evil people, and will automatically react (as above). Humanoid in appearance, they wear long robes and like to smoke tobacco (often used to appease them).
