John Titor, ''Time Soldier''

 Debated hotly as faked, the Story of John Titor has elements that still cannot be explained by naysayers and skeptics. Titor appeared on Internet message boards around 2001. John claimed to be a Time Traveling Soldier from the year 2036, sent back in time to acquire a 20th Century IBM Computer (one of the first). The Computer was needed to debug a virus in the 21st Century, hampering a successful conclusion to both a Second Civil War and World War III. While much of John s Story sounds very much like the storylines of SEVERAL popular Sci-Fi Movies (most notably ''12 Monkeys'' ), some of his tale is hard to explain away by skeptics. John claimed that Political and Economic unrest caused a Second American Civil War which split The Nation into 5 Regions. Although not giving specifics, The Second Civil War only stopped due to the start of World War III. The War was Nuclear, and most major US East Coast Cities were destroyed. The new US Capital was placed in Omaha, Nebraska

John claimed that War was the only thing he really remembered. He was told stories of how life was prior to The Second Civil War, of which he pined to see. John claimed to belong to The Tampa Shotguns (Tampa, Florida) and even drew an image of what his Uniform insignia looked like. Taking a page from ''Back To The Future'' , John claimed that Time Travel was indeed possible. Using a complex series of formulas (coupled with even more remotely alien technology totally unknown to us in the now 21st Century), Future Technicians fashioned a Car Transporter . The device for generating a form of miniature worm hole was placed in the rear truck bed of The Vehicle. It operated fairly much the same as in the comic 1980 s Film featuring Michael J. Fox as a Time Traveling Teen.

John was able to fulfill his Mission of recovering a 1970s IBM Computer. He claimed it was the only program that could debug their future systems. John went to Florida of the 20th Century (2000), to make his presence known to his Ancestors and retrieve lost Family keepsakes. He could not leave our Time without leaving detailed warnings of a bleak future on many Internet Message Boards. Much of his strange drawings of future technological devices and scientific formulas were likewise left .

Much of John was quickly debunked as the writings of a wannabe Sci-Fi Writer, trying to get noticed . Many of his so-called Titor Predictions have likewise fallen through. However, many who believe in Titor s story claim that the Paradox Clause which creates a different reality has come into play. In it's most basic form, The Clause states that regardless of how careful one is about NOT changing the Past, it will course correct and change due to a person going back in time anyway. This creates a different historical reality. Perhaps John did in fact alter History so a Second Civil War did not happen perhaps it simply has not happened yet. Since 2001, no further contact with the supposed Time Traveler John Titor has been established.
