Papyri was an early form of writing medium which dates to Ancient Times. Used by many such Cultures, a description developed in the 7th Century AD, which identified a specific type of Papyri known as ''Jewish Magical Papyri''. In truth, the attachment of ''Jewish'' (based on what the Medium was used for), may be more rooted in Medieval Antisemitism. The myth is that ''special paper'' was used by The Hebrews which included not only the ''magical names'' of God, but various incantations and prayers. Set aside for specific purposes, ''Magical Papyri'' may have not necessarily been used as a form of Talisman or Amulet (although it was believed as such).
