While many can associate the ''modern custom'' of ''A Jew with A Coin'' as being quite anti-semitic – in Poland at least, the practice and belief is popular. Dating to perhaps to the 1990s, those in Poland who subscribe to the belief, will purchase various ''Dolls'' or Figurines of a (perceived) ''typical Jew''. The image is a Male, dressed all in traditional ''black''. The Figure may be holding a coin or bag of money. As the practice goes, One must place the Figurine ''upside down'' with a coin placed either behind or underneath the Doll. This activity must be performed on the first day (start0 of The Jewish Sabbath. The belief is that at the end of The Sabbath, the Owner of The Doll will begin to ''have money'' – ''falling into'' His or Her Home or Business (hence being upside down). Many Modernists and followers of today's ''Social Pop Culture'', cite the ''Jew with a Coin'' belief as more ''superstitious'' than an actual ability.....although some Poles can cite such things as Lottery Winnings and increases (found) in Money. Strange?
