This American creature is considered mythical and real (depending on were one lives). The creature's story can be traced back to the Mid-West in the 1870s. A spike of interest developed in the 1930s with actual proof of a dead Jackalope. In brief, The Jackalope is part Rabbit and part Antelope. Or rather, a Rabbit with Antlers! (not a typo!). Although the classic proof was obviously a hoax involving a rabbit with Antelope horns grafted on (after death, of course) MANY people swear they have seen The Jackalope. The myth has gained as much high press as Bigfoot has.
