"There's Only One Thing Wrong with The Davis Baby.....It's Alive!" - was the catch line to Warner Brothers 1974 Horror Sci-Fi Film "It's Alive". Unintended comedy permeates this gem of a Classic 70s "B" Movie deals with an average American couple who - after many years of using birth control, give birth to a mutant baby - with both an attitude and appetite. The small puppet "baby" is the real attraction here. Big head, bulging eyes and a 3-fingered claw set, it seems to be thrown from off set at the actors much as a rubber ball (followed by copious amount of stage blood). The plot deals with the birth control pills causing the mutation. After the creature us eventually killed, we find women all over The US going into labor and giving birth to a possible Army of Alice's. The subsequent sequel and a number 3 after that, really didn't help either. Remade in 2009 (really), the original is still a Cult fav.
