Special Effects Master of ''Stop Motion '' techniques Ray Harryhausen first feature, 1955s ''It Came From Beneath The Sea'' was typical 1950s Movie ''Monster'' fare. Although not relative to the traditional Creature created by the then continued Atomic Tests (although it is assumed in The Plot), Our ''Beastie'' is a massive Sea Octopus that decides to hunt off The Coast of California in particularly The City of San Francisco. ''It'' eventually wrestles with The Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf pretty much all of San Fran's major Tourist Sites. The US Navy becomes The Hero of the Movie, using flame throwers to drive The Beast back into The Sea. A Submarine torpedoes The Beast blowing it into shushi. Sadly, such a Film should have been made in color. However, as with most Movie Studios of The Era, Black and White was cheaper and allowed for many Projects to be produced at one time for viewing. By the 1960s, ''It'' was a staple of Drive-In Movies throughout The Country.
