First reported in Lake Ikeda, Japan in the 15th Century, Issie (an analog of Loch Ness' Nessie ) - is reputed to be a Saurian-type Cryptid. The beast is siad to have a 17-foot long neck and a body in excess of 50 feet. Legend tells of a Samurai that was trying to capture a Foal (small horse). Eventually doing so, it's Mother was so upset, that she transformed in a large Lake Beast (forever hunting for her lost child). Reported photographed in 1978, a film was also made in 1991 of the creature. Issie is as popular in the Region as Nessie is to Scotland.
